On May 28, 2020, the Third Session of the Thirteenth National People's Congress voted to pass the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China, which will come into force on January 1, 2021. The "Civil Code of the People's Republic of China", known as "the encyclopedia of social life", is the first law named after the code in New China, and is a major achievement of my country's socialist rule of law in the new era.
